Based on a hunch

I have realigned most of the things based on my hunch. I thought it was about time I did so. 🙂

It feels good doing what I have wanted for a very long time

Take some life altering decisions

Taking time off

Moving to what I like the most

Moving towards achieving what I had planned out

It is time to focus on the things which are to come in the future

And leave what was in the past

I feel like I have wings and can fly 🙂

Be there cause I need you the most and thanks for all the support and guidance you have given me till now. 🙂

The fascinating sunset

Sometimes you ponder, how many hues can the sky have? especially when the sun sets. I would say a million hues. I watch the sunset everyday. I have always been fascinated with the Sunset, the sky gradually changing color from orange to yellowish orange to a shade of pink with the sun looking like a ball of fire and turning to grey plunging our planet into darkness.

This is followed by the Dim light of the Moon making it a perfect evening. 🙂

I wonder at times, if one clicks a picture one can’t even make out that is the sun setting or rising, cause both of them have the same look. Other than the part that  the Sun sets in the West and rises from the East. But how do you decipher it, i ponder!

Everyday when the sun sets it feels as if it makes a promise to you. I will rise again and my mighty glory will be felt. A promise that tomorrow will be another beautiful day.

I was watching the sunset today and thought of the following, just penned them down:

A great ball of fire, so round; so fierce

No one can stand in front of me for fear of being burned

Yet I am a source of life and a promise to a new beginning

I bring hope and warmth in the hearts of beings on whom my rays fall

I rise to the glory at noon, with my rays slowly subdued at Dusk

I transcend from a bright yellow (hottest) to an orangish yellow

Finally plunging the world into darkness

But with a promise that I will rise again

So many questions

You ask so many questions

I fail to answer them

At times, I myself don’t know the answers to them

And even if I know the answers’ I can’t answer them

You doubt my expressions and wonder why and when

I don’t know the answer to why and when

I don’t even know whats next

Just go with the flow

Time will tell

You confound me with your questions and statements

But trust me sometimes questions are best left unanswered

Sunday was the proudest day of our lives as grand kids, my grand mom published a book on Guru Nanak – it is a compilation of short stories and is targeted at the Sikh youth.

Most of us have grand moms who would be too old to do anything, but my grand ma is unlike those, she has always been a very dynamic personality and has helped bring us all up. Instilled in us the value system that we have and finally inculcated in us the “Never say Die” spirit.

We all have that in us and that is thanks to grand mom.

Around a year ago granny began writing the short stories, we used to read them in the diary, thereafter aunt said we should publish them. So began the quest to find a publisher and it was published around a few months ago. Once published, we held a launch of the book at the Gurudwara. It was our moment of joy. Our granny strongest. She is indeed lovable 🙂 God bless her.

Sometimes one learns to handle conflicts in the best manner. And what more could teach you than real life experiences. Lately, a man lost his job, he works as a part timer at our work place. So he created a big noise about a number of things which was a reaction to being laid off from his permanent job.

He created a lot of trouble and messed up a number of things. I usually handle the part timers and was apprised about his behavior, now the onus lied on my shoulders to calm him down and handle him. I called him and spoke to him, he began venting out all his frustrations, I heard his side of the story patiently. Then i pacified him and he was back to work. Phew a great task indeed. I sometimes wonder how did I achieve it 🙂
